1. Overview

Really Simple Invoices ("RSI", "we", "us", "our") is a simple tool that helps users create and send invoices, manage clients, and receive payments using Stripe. By using RSI, you agree to the terms outlined in this document. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Who We Are

RSI is a Dept 91 product. We build beautiful, cost effective products for individuals, soloprenuers and small businesses.

3. What RSI Does

  • Lets you create an account and connect to your Stripe account via Stripe Connect
  • Allows you to add your own clients and issue invoices to them
  • Sends those invoices to your clients via email or downloadable link
  • Lets your clients pay invoices through Stripe
  • Applies a flat £2 platform fee to each successful invoice payment

All payments are handled directly by Stripe; RSI does not store or process payment card data.

4. Your Data & Privacy

We collect only the information necessary to operate the RSI platform. This includes:

  • Your name, email address, and optionally your company name and address
  • Client information you provide (such as names, emails, and billing details)
  • Stripe connection details

We do not use tracking, analytics, or marketing email systems.

5. GDPR & Data Responsibilities

Under UK and EU GDPR:

  • You are the Data Controller for any client data you input (e.g., names, emails, addresses)
  • RSI acts as your Data Processor, meaning we store and manage that data only so you can use the platform

You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to store and send invoices to your clients.

6. Stripe Connect & Payment Terms

To accept payments, you must connect your Stripe account to RSI using Stripe Connect. By doing this, you agree to Stripe's own Connect Platform Agreement.

When an invoice is paid:

  • Stripe processes the payment directly
  • RSI charges a flat £2 platform fee, which is automatically deducted via Stripe's application fee system
  • RSI only gets paid when you get paid

We do not charge monthly fees or subscriptions.

7. Account Termination & Deletion

You can delete your account at any time via your profile page. This will remove all your data from our platform, including invoices and client details. Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.

8. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure infrastructure. However, no online service can guarantee 100% security.

9. Updates to These Terms

We may update this document from time to time. When we do, we'll post a revised version on the RSI website and update the "Effective Date" above. Continued use of RSI means you accept the new terms.
